This is part of the MJÖLNIR storyline. To catch up on previous events in the storyline check out episode 8 of CWA.

What we did next is we tried to call Thor to ask him to come and pick up his hammer from the studio floor but we couldn't get hold of him.

Then we made a video call to the Allfather himself, Odin.

Now Odin told us that he hadn't heard from Thor since they visited our studio on Father's Day and that Thor hadn't traveled back to Asgard with the rest of their entourage. Odin was sure his son had probably gone on one of his mead rampages that were known to last for days. Odin said that sooner or later Thor would appear in some dive bar in some corner of the world and we'd just have to wait for it.

But when we told Odin that Thor had actually left his Mjölnir behind at the studio the Allfather's mood changed drastically from chipper to down right hostile. He got so furious at his sons recklessness that he deemed Thor unworthy of the hammer right then and there. Right in front of a live audience and on live TV! Believe it or not!

After Odin had calmed down a bit he promised that anyone who could bring the Mjölnir back to Asgard from our studio would be rewarded handsomely!

"That'll teach my son a lesson in how responsibility goes before pleasure. How can he be the ruler of Asgard if he doesn't understand that!?", Odin concluded.

But the task of taking the hammer to Asgard is easier said than done. As you all can see it is engraved on Mjölnir that

"Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be WORTHY shall possess the power of ... THOR"

That's quite a promise!

But do remember that Thor is the god of thunder and heir to the throne of the ruler of Asgard and all that. So it's not like anyone can just walk into our studio pick up the hammer, jump in their car and drive it to Asgard. Odin didn't elaborate on what WORTHY actually meant....

For the time being the hammer is gonna be there in the center of studio 2... but we have already started making plans on how to get it moved..... so keep watching our show!
